Donate to Gorrinn Village
This beautiful mural was hand-painted by the very talented Lyn Martin, with assistance from the Pomonal School children, and was donated to us in 2012.
The mural is a key feature of our secure dementia area and makes for such relaxing scenery for residents to sit and observe local landmarks such as the Grampians, Lake Fyans, Langi Ghiran and the amazingly detailed flora and fauna of our region. Many reminiscence sessions start here at the mural and we are so very grateful for this stunning donation. |
Gorrinn Village is a not-for-profit organisation and therefore relies heavily on Federal Government assistance to fund its daily operations.
In the past, we have been very fortunate to receive bequests and donations from our residents and their families. We also received charitable donations from generous local community groups, who have assisted us to purchase equipment for resident care. Donations from these groups, as well as individuals, continues to enhance the lives of our residents and improve our quality care facilities, which in turn benefits our residents. This often occurs through the purchase of better care equipment and furniture for resident use and through acquiring quality Leisure and Lifestyle apparatus for the regular entertainment of our residents. Donations are accepted in the form of goods* (please see below) and also monetary donations: If you would like to make a donation, you can send a cheque to: Ararat Retirement Village Inc 27 Albert Street Ararat VIC 3377 Or alternatively, you can deposit donations into the following account: Ararat Retirement Village BSB: 013-504 Account: 2841-20695 Please use your surname as the reference, or alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, please use the words 'Anon Donation' All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. If you require a receipt for your donation, please use the Contact Us page to advise of your donation, including the date and reference used. We thank you for your donation! |
Generous donation to Ararat Elderly from Chinese Society
Two 12 seater buses were donated by the Ararat Chinese Heritage Society in October 2012, for joint use of the Retirement Village and Ararat Senior Citizens.
You can read all about this incredibly generous donation in the link above. We are very lucky and extremely grateful for the gift of these buses.
The purchase of the buses has meant that all our residents now have the ability to attend appointments and outings easily, with one bus fitted with a wheelchair lifting device. It also means that up to 12 residents can be taken on outings or excursion at any one time, with activities such as Ladies Day, Men's Outings, Christmas Lights tours and many more, a regular feature of our Leisure and Lifestyle Program.
